 Who said you can't wear sequins during the day? The thought at first might be a bit frightening but who doesn't like to feel a bit fancy during the day? 

I chose to wear this skirt with some casual pieces like this thrifted denim shirt and boots. I think pulled this look off quite well. What do you think?

 Today my roommate Audrey and I decided to go on a little sunday stroll around NYC. We stopped by a couple of shops and hung out at Washington Square park while some live jazz band was playing.

To say the least it was  quite a lovely day!

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely people over at Nepali by TDM. They have a unique eco-conscious jewelry and scarf line that is perfect for any trendsetter with a love for the environment. Nepali by TDM is produced in Nepal, the scarves are made from natural and authentic fabrics such as silk, cashmere, bamboo, modal, wool and eco-friendly azo-free dyes. The makers behind these scarfs are women who are aspired to embrace there place in society, thanks to the encouragement of this company. They receive above-market compensation, monthly medical care and education for their children. When they told me about there new brand ambassador campaign, I just had to be a part of it! These past couple of days have been the most craziest, fun days of my summer by far.

I moved into to my new apartment in Manhattan this week which has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I'm still getting used to living on my own and being independent but I must say I'm really enjoying it all! I'm very happy to embark on this new journey and have you guys tag along with me!

This was definetly one of my scariest shoots I've done with Bryan, getting on top of that fallen tree trunk and fearing that I would loose my balance and fall into a poison ivy ridden ground had me super freaked!

We managed to get a couple of good shots (and no poison ivy!!) and i would just like to thank Bryan and Sasha for all the help that day :)

Nicole Miller Artelier Collection

A few weeks ago a couple of bloggers from NYC got the chance to visit the Nicole Miller showroom and preview the Fall 2012 Artelier collection. We all got to pick and style our favorite pieces and model them on a fun rooftop photo shoot! Nicole Miller's new line is heavily inspired by the 70's and some of the iconic musicians and film icons of the decade. The colors used in the collection are rich purples, greens, yellows, and black. This makes an overall fun and beautiful line that you couldn't help but feel super comfortable in! 

In my first look I choose a simple black dress with awesome long leather sleeves and paired them of with my Miu Miu Mary Janes. I accessorized the dress with two necklaces from Karen london and a bangles from the collaboration Nicole Miller did with Indego Africa.

In my second look I found these awesome embroidered pants that I knew I just had to work with! I wore it with a white silky button up blouse and J. Crew shoes and Karen London necklace. 

I'd just like to thank all the wonderful girls over at Nicole Miller (thanks Jackie for the invite!) you girls are all awesome and made the experience so worthwhile!
